£40,000 - £50,000/annum "BLUE-CHIP" RELOCATION, BONUS ECT

We are actively seeking skilled and qualified Scientific Software Development Engineers educated to a high level (Ph.D./ MSc/ 1st or 2:1) in a Physical Science related discipline (physics, maths, etc) with excellent software development skills for a market-leading client.

You will be based at our clients' Edinburgh offices and will be part of a team researching and developing engineering models that improve and represent the physics and engineering principles around the modeling of large-scale physical data projects.

Duties for this role may include:

  • Algorithm development
  • Software Coding 
  • Interface design
  • Testing of the software tool kit in-line with the corporate product development plan.

Skills required:

  • Postgraduate/ commercial experience in Software Development. 
  • A Ph.D. or good degree in Physics, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum.
  • Skilled in one (or more) of the following: C, C++, .Net Technologies, Fortran, Visual Studio
