Job Spec for IT Support Technician
Based in Newton Abbot, Our client is looking for a dynamic individual to join their small but highly capable team of IT technicians responsible for the connectivity and support of over 1400 network devices across Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset.
The successful candidate would have a proven track record in delivering excellent IT support with strong network fault finding ability focusing always on customer care and taking ownership of assigned job tickets.
The position is both office and field based, you will be involved in 1st line helpdesk environment and expected to attend customer sites for 2nd line /escalated customer facing solutions.
Role Overview & Skill Requirements for the IT Support Technician
•Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, network infrastructures and associated topologies, server management, cloud-hosted services, and data security.
•Server management and fault finding of IT networks including peripheral devices and print environments.
•Focus, self-motivated and a ‘can do’ attitude
•Highest level of customer care with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
•Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
•Smart, professional and courteous at all times
•Own transport and current Full Driving license
Desirable for the IT Support Technician
•Flexibility to work outside of office hours when required
•Knowledge of the printer / MFD industry
•Experience of Apple OS and Linux systems
•Experience of remote client support software such as Teamviewer
Salary & Package for the IT Support Technician
Starting salary - negotiable
