Experienced Java Developer required to join a specialized team of coders providing high level coding & development support to the customer base for this global software company.

You will be resolving 3rd line (Once passed up through the chain) software application issues using your hands-on coding skills in Java & JavaScript (mainly).

This team also have numerous side projects into creating new features for small code base changes that customers request – nice projects to create code too.

To be clear – this is NOT an “IT support” role. We need experienced, hands on Java coders to resolve sometimes complex base code issues; make changes, suggest fixes, perform code maintenance & work with the core engineering team to work through issues.

Circa 200 staff globally, we are large enough to offer excellent career path progression, get hands on with the latest Java technology & get exposure to large customers, but still small enough to be a very friendly environment, with the flexibility in work / life balance.

We’d mostly be looking for the below skill set:

- Java coding & development experience (&/or JavaScript actually)

- Spring framework experience is a bonus, but not a must have.

- Broad range of associated technical skills: XML, SQL, Tomcat Servers, HTML5.

- Would be great if you had any experience with development on the Salesforce platform, with APEX coding. This is totally not required though.

- Team player & good communication skills.

- Learner. Inquisitive. Questioning. Open-Minded & works well in a collaborative team environment.

In return, you will join a UK software house who are at the top of their industry, providing modern software to large & small businesses across the planet.
