PHP Developer

Planet Forward have been engaged by an industry leading software provider. This fantastic forward thinking company are looking for a PHP Developer to be based at their offices in Solihull on a permanent basis. 

The primary focus of the role is  to work with project stakeholders to implement new functionality, implementing non-functional changes (bug fixes, refactors, design changes, etc), working with QA Analysts to ensure the validity of changes, and contributing to the software development life-cycle of the product, including support and monitoring of the application in testing and production environments. 

The ideal candidate will have;

• Fluency in PHP and MySQL (with at least 2 years commercial experience)
• Excellent understanding of OOP
• Familiarity with MVC architecture
• Experience of Apache, Linux and LAMP architecture
• Experience of working with HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Experience using version control (ideally GIT)
• Familiarity with AJAX (desirable)
• Familiarity with PHP-FIG standards (desirable)
• Experience using jQuery (desirable)
