IT MANAGER PART TIME
My client is a high end city financial company with a traditional feel and a wonderful working environment.
They are looking for an IT Manager who is experienced in looking after all the internal workings of a small head office.
The role will be supporting very senior personnel and will be great for someone who enjoys providing an excellent service.
The position could be part days 5 days per week or 3 full days per week and can be flexible. This is an unusual opportunity to join a unique company.
The successful candidate would need to have covered all the areas below and have worked within professional services or the financial industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Day to day the role will involve:
·Owning all Service escalations from Executives & their Support Staff.
·Regular communication with teams and colleagues to establish networks, influence outcomes and share knowledge.
·Building individual relationships with key contacts based on open, honest and constructive two way feedback.
·Responsibility for recommending changes/upgrades to our IT and Comms hardware & software.
·Proactively working and planning for key events.
·Working with 3rd party service providers to ensure minimum downtime of services and establishing clear lines of communication to enable optimum delivery of the service and escalation channels.
·Review communications from IT for outages\system updates for where Service may affect VIPs, Sharing information in a timely way which is simple to understand and clear in its intent.
·Supporting existing Systems to ensure maximum up-time, providing high end desk-side resolution to faults and issues as they arise.
·Training on systems, and provision of how to where required. This can also involve advising on improvements in systems where updates or new features can provide efficiencies in daily work.
·Ad Hoc requests, general support queries.
·Set up of Ipads, Iphones and Mobile email client (GOOD).
·Set up & testing of laptops (VPN, Citrix, Outlook & Office 2010)
·Meeting room setups and preparation & testing of connectivity of IT kit prior to Exec meeting.
·Set ups of VC\AV requirements.
·Liaison with IT department (3rd party) for access and rights management to change\alter & update where needed.
·Liaise with Print partner M2 on in house related escalations.
·Liaise with IT on changes and updates where testing may be required.
·Support with video conferencing
·Remote assistance for VIPs and\or their support staff
·Review of forward schedule of meetings where assistance may be required
·As the need arises – to visit the homes of Execs to assist with IT troubleshooting of personal IT kit as well as connectivity back in to the office.
·Occasionally there may be the need to set up broadband/WiFi or other IT\AV related project
·Providing advice on technology that may enhance the experience within the home for connectivity – IE signal boosters for Mobility, WiFi repeaters.
REQUIREMENTS:Relevant experience working for a corporate company is essential.
Technical experiences on troubleshooting and supporting Win 7/10
Microsoft office, Microsoft Exchange and Sun Accounting System.(ideally)
Strong verbal and written communication
Excellent organisation skills together with a confident, discreet and resilient
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
