A large well known educational establishment are seeking an IT Network Manager in South Oxford, to manage the team and lead the development of IT across the organisation. You will be responsible to provide and support the use of IT and Network Services for administration, teaching and learning.
Being the IT Manager of a small team, you will get the opportunity to work very closely with the technicians, helping them progress and enhance their skills. You will also have the opportunity to remain hands on, providing support across a wide variety of technologies.
Main tasks / duties;
* Organise and supervise any IT technical staff and manage all aspects of IT
* Manage performance of IT resources and perform advanced diagnostics
* Actively manage support contracts for IT, Network infrastructure, Telephone, CCTV, EPOS etc.
* Management of appropriate backup regime
* Testing and evaluation of hardware and management systems
* Hands on support (hardware & software)
* To monitor the use of ICT in the organisation and report malpractice to the appropriate senior staff
* Manage the IT budget
