Junior Web Developer - Peterborough - 20,000 / 25,000

ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Junior Web Developer with immediate effect for our client who continues to grow and dominate the market, based in Peterborough. 

You will be self-sufficient, motivated, and enthusiastic, with a passion for technological advancements, and personal professional growth, using a range of technologies and methodologies. You should be aware of, proficient in, or willing to learn our technical stack and workflows, and work well autonomously, but also as part of a collaborative team on larger projects.

Developers work on a wide range of projects from microsites, to complex websites with multiple integrations and modules developed on bespoke Laravel-based CMS, to bespoke Software as a Service and online software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Turning designed web and software solutions into working products
• Learning and enhancing technical capability
• Learning and adhering to international best practices
• Assisting senior developers with the delivery and maintenance of products

Essential Skills

• Working knowledge of HTML
• Working knowledge of CSS
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
• Working knowledge of PHP
• Working knowledge of WordPress
• Basic understanding of MySQL

Desirable Skills and Experience

• 1-2 years commercial experience
• Blade
• SCSS

• NPM
• Vue or Angular
• Object oriented programming
