Head of IT Operations (Housing Association)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: South Manchester

About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Technology Services department to lead our Service Desk and Infrastructure teams , inspiring high performance, responsibility, accountability, and cross organisational working, to achieve required performance standards and objectives.
Reporting to the Director of Technology Services. You will provide a clear strategic direction for Great Places infrastructure, adopting new technologies to support the infrastructure for business-critical applications and ensuring security for Great Places’ operations. You will be responsible for driving out efficiencies in operations through consolidation, standardisation, automation and adoption of cloud computing, where feasible.
You will ensure that Great Places has appropriate, robust and secure technical infrastructure, digital systems, telephony, mobile working and other core IT services and equipment.
The successful candidate will have ITIL understanding / certificate and experience in all relevant fields of computing as well as senior management experience. You will have a balanced mix of business and technical skills across the following: Systems / Cyber Security; Disaster Recovery solutions; User support; Systems Testing; Desktop technologies; Microsoft software packages / technology; Cloud Computing; Technical solutions design; Supplier management; Networking, wireless and remote access technologies.
You should have proven management skills, both strategic and operational to include colleagues, contractors and projects.
You must be able to work flexibly on occasion and when needed outside normal working hours.
You may have experience of the following: Head of IT Operations, IT Operations Manager, Technical Services, IT Manager, Prince 2, ITIL, Service Delivery Manager, Process Improvement, Customer Service, Business Continuity Manager, Customer Experience, Technical Infrastructure, Housing Association, Social Housing etc
