IT and Program Director

Capita carry out PIP assessments on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in Wales, Northern Ireland and the West Midlands. Assessments are focused on how an individual’s health conditions may impact on their daily life, rather than the health conditions themselves.
We are looking to appoint an IT and Program Director to join the Senior Leadership Team in a high profile, challenging and rewarding role. You will report directly to the Managing Director and contribute to the strategic leadership and direction of the business.
This is a highly respected, progressive role operating within a continual change and evolving contract. You will be a key person sitting in the heart of a large, high profile operation, ensuring the highest quality targets are met across the contract.
You will be responsible for leading a diverse team of both programme and IT operational resources within the Capita PIP business. Delivering programmes and services in the Capita PIP contract and exemplary service to the DfC and DWP PIP claimant community. The Programme and IT director will ensure they maintain all IT operational performance and successful delivery of all projects and programmes, ensuring all financial measures are met whilst delivering internal & external service levels. Responsible for managing a P&L and the business to exceed business plan metrics.
You will be an experienced leader with a strong track record of strategic management, initiating and implementing innovation and the ability to present complex issues in clear and simple terms. You will be collaborative, decisive and effective in your approach and have the ability to work in a complex stakeholder environment.
Critical to the role will be your strong leadership, IT operational management experience and influencing skills. You will have proven experience of managing large scale complex projects and programmes including CRM and WFM roll outs, whilst delivering measurable customer outcomes.
A high level of commercially awareness with experience of complex contract negotiations is essential for this role, and a background in a service based environment running multi-faceted complex operations.
