This leading provider of EPoS and financial solutions to the hospitality industry is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join a dynamic company which is fast moving and fun to work in, providing a customer focused high level of IT support at 1st line level.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing in-bound support calls from customers
  • Logging calls on our internal CRM solution
  • Finding a timely and suitable resolution to the problem/query
  • Communicate and escalate with other members of team
  • Be proactive in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems

Skills & Knowledge:

  • 'Customer first’ attitude and a desire to deliver outstanding support to our customers
  • Excellent telephone manner and first-class communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to learn fast
  • High level of organisational skills
  • Software skills - excellent knowledge of Windows (XP/Server/Windows Mobile),
  • Windows services, and networking principles (DHCP/routing/wireless 802.11)
  • Troubleshooting both PC based PoS hardware, PoS Printers, and handheld devices
  • Be fluent around a range of other programs such as MS Office, VNC (remote control software)
  • Support on-call rota out of hours includes weekends and up to midnight (with additional pay)
  • Experience in providing IT and/or EPoS support to end users/customers is essential

There are multiple positions available:

Late shift 1st line engineer (11:30 – 20:00 Tuesday to Friday and Saturday 09:00 to 17:30)

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to join a dynamic company which is fast moving and fun to work in, providing a customer focused high level of IT support at 1st line level. This position will be working 11:30 to 20:00 Tuesday to Friday and Saturday 09:00 to 17:30. You will join an On-Call rota from home 1 in 5 weeks. As part of the support team your hours may change but will always be 37.5 hours a week and within the current support hours 8am-8pm. (8PM to 11PM for premium support only, covered from home via 1 in 5 ON CALL rota) The rota hours may change to meet business needs and will be managed by the support manager.

Early shift 1st line engineer (08:00 – 16:30 Tuesday to Saturday):

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to join a dynamic company which is fast moving and fun to work in, providing a customer focused high level of IT support at 1st line level. This position will be working 08:00 to 16:30 Tuesday to Saturday & you will join an On Call rota from home 1 in 5 weeks. As part of the support team your hours may change but will always be 37.5 hours a week and within the current support hours 8am-8pm. (8PM to 11PM for premium support only, covered from home via 1 in 5 ON CALL rota) The rota hours may change to meet business needs and will be managed by the support manager.

2x standard shift 1st line engineer (9:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday)

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to join a dynamic company which is fast moving and fun to work in, providing a customer focused high level of IT support at 1st line level. This position will be working 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday & you will join an On Call rota from home 1 in 5 weeks. As part of the support team your hours may change but will always be 37.5 hours a week and within the current support hours 8am-8pm. (8PM to 11PM for premium support only, covered from home via 1 in 5 ON CALL rota) The rota hours may change to meet business needs and will be managed by the support manager.
