Job Brief
Q5 is transitioning to a Microsoft 365 E5 environment, and we are looking for an experienced Technology Support professional who has been there before. We need someone with a demonstrable track record of deploying and administering E5 capabilities, not someone learning them on the job.
You will report to the Technology Manager and work as part of a small, hands-on team responsible for day-to-day technology operations, user support, Microsoft 365 administration, information security, business systems support, workflow improvement and automation.
This role would suit someone who combines strong first-line and second-line support experience with hands-on E5 expertise. You will help Q5 adopt and get the most from new capabilities across endpoint management, identity, collaboration, security and compliance while ensuring our people receive an excellent support experience wherever they are working.
You are a natural problem solver who enjoys helping people get the best from technology. You are confident supporting colleagues at all levels, able to explain technical issues clearly, and motivated by providing a responsive, empathetic and high-quality support experience.
You will also support our core business systems and play an active role in identifying and implementing workflow automation using API/Power Automate and the broader Microsoft 365 platform.
Key responsibilities
Provide knowledgeable, hands-on technology support including first-line, remote and face-to-face in our London office, across our systems and devices, supporting users working globally across Windows, Mac, mobile, web-based and office technology.
Support in the deployment and ongoing administration of Microsoft 365 E5 capabilities, including Microsoft Purview (DLP and sensitivity labels), Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Entra ID (Conditional Access, Identity Protection and SSO) translating E5 investment into measurable security and compliance improvements.
Take ownership of business systems application management, including support for SaaS integrations and API configuration, performance oversight, supplier partnerships, systems administration, and first-line application user support.
Champion information security across the firm, maintaining a risk management mindset and working with the wider team to strengthen our security posture as we mature our new environment.
Drive continuous improvement in our processes, tooling and IT offer to users, underpinned by a genuine interest in technology and a focus on measurable outcomes.
Design and implement workflow automation using Power Automate to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency across the business.
Champion the interests of our users, ensuring that empathy and engagement with their needs underpins our support approach and technology decisions.
